California Privacy Rights
This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies specifically to California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California consumers have specific rights regarding their personal information.

1. Your California Privacy Rights
As a California resident, you have the following rights under CCPA/CPRA:
- Right to Know: Request disclosure of what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you.
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Opt-Out: Direct us not to sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Limit Use: Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.
- Right to Data Portability: Receive a copy of your personal information in a portable and readily usable format.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: Receive equal service and pricing even if you exercise your privacy rights.
2. Information We Collect
Under CCPA, "personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you or your household. In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
Identifiers
Name, email address, IP address (from contact forms and newsletter signups)
Internet Activity
Browsing history on our Site, pages visited, referring URL, search queries
Device Information
Browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution
Geolocation Data
General geographic location based on IP address (city/state level only)
3. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
PageBen does not sell your personal information. We do not receive monetary or other valuable consideration in exchange for your personal information.
PageBen does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not share your personal information with third parties for targeted advertising purposes.
We use Google Analytics for website analytics. This is a service provider relationship, not a sale or share under CCPA. Google Analytics data is aggregated and used solely to understand Site usage patterns.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the following business purposes:
- Responding to your inquiries and providing customer support
- Sending newsletters (only with your consent)
- Analyzing Site usage to improve content and user experience
- Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Complying with legal obligations
- Debugging and repairing errors on our Site
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above:
- Contact form data: 90 days, unless you request deletion sooner
- Newsletter subscriptions: Until you unsubscribe
- Analytics data: 14 months (per our Google Analytics configuration)
- Security logs: 30 days for fraud prevention and troubleshooting
6. How to Exercise Your Rights
You may submit a verifiable consumer request using any of the following methods:
Request Data Deletion
Submit a request to delete all your personal information from our systems:
Email Request
Send your request to privacy@pageben.com with the subject line "CCPA Request" and specify which right you wish to exercise.
7. Verification Process
To protect your privacy, we must verify your identity before fulfilling your request. Verification may include:
- Confirming the email address associated with your request
- Matching information you provide against information we have on file
- Additional verification steps for sensitive requests
If we cannot verify your identity, we may deny your request. We will inform you if this occurs.
8. Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. To do so, provide:
- Written authorization signed by you
- Proof of the agent's identity
- Your verified identity (we may contact you directly to confirm)
Power of attorney documentation under California Probate Code sections 4121 to 4130 is also acceptable.
9. Response Timeline
We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 calendar days of receipt. If we require additional time (up to 45 additional days), we will notify you in writing of the extension and the reason for it.
You may submit up to two (2) requests within a 12-month period at no charge. We may charge a reasonable fee or decline to act on requests that are excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded.
10. "Shine the Light" Law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 ("Shine the Light") permits California residents to request information about the disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes.
PageBen does not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Therefore, there is no information to disclose under this law.
11. Do Not Track Signals
Some web browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to websites. Because there is no uniform standard for how to interpret DNT signals, our Site does not currently respond to browser DNT signals. However, you can manage your privacy preferences through your browser settings and cookie controls.
12. Minors Under 16
PageBen does not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 16 years of age. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@pageben.com.
13. Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights. We will not:
- Deny you goods or services
- Charge you different prices or rates
- Provide you a different level or quality of service
- Suggest you will receive different treatment
14. Changes to This Notice
We may update this California Privacy Notice periodically. The "Effective Date" at the top reflects when the notice was last revised. We encourage you to review this page regularly for updates.
